Re-intro and need some dermotologist recs!

Hey ladies!

I'm a regular over on thenest and have only posted over in these parts a few times, but now that our first house is bought and decorated, we can move on to wedding planning...yay!  :)

But first off-I need to get this skin under control!  (Well, it really isn't that bad but I went off of BC for health reasons and now it is a little wacky)...I figured this would be a good place to start since we are all Chicago-ish-ians!


Anybody have any good recs for a derm?  I'm not really picky on location...I'm willing to travel as long as there is a good rec!

    I dont have any rec's but im in the same boat as you -- went off BC and my skin is going crazy!  Ive never had a problem with acne ever, and now all of a sudden my face is covered!  I just had shingles and I thought it was left over, but now more acne is popping up... wth!  if you find someone, let me know!

    FI thinks I'm nuts because it is just random zits that have been popping up and that are easily covered with makeup, but there is no way I'm letting it get worse! Haha!

    Dermotologists can get pretty expensive especially with the products they may prescribe to treat your skin. I would look into a good skincare regimine. There is a salon in the South Loop called Halsted Tan and Spa that carries the Environ Skincare lines. It is absolutely amazing! It's natural loaded with vitamins, and has stopped me from breaking out/pimples, evens my skin ton and takes care of any pigmentation that you might have :) Good luck!!

    Dr. Soderstrom is in LaSalle-Peru, and I have seen him work wonders.  He helped me out too when I was a teen.

    I just went to mine last week, Dermatology & Aesthetics of Wicker Park...easy to get to via blue line and there's also street pay-to-park.  I found them via Yelp reviews and who my insurance (Cigna) covers;  they're awesome. I see Dr. Lio

    However, the first time I went, from when I called it took me about 6-8wks to get in, but it seems like that's typical for first-time visits to doctors around here.

    I'm curious from your blog, where did you build at?! Congrats!

    Hi! I have used Dr. Kathleen Remlinger - she is in Aurora. She specializes in dermatology.

    I haven't seen her in a while, but I have used proactive for years and love it. Good luck! :)

    Dr. Marianne Rosenberg in Buffalo Grove, IL  I believe that the group she works for is Glazer Dermatologists.
