MY MOST EXCITING CHECK!!!

Because I'm a super musician dork...

My old Berklee professors agreed to play at the ceremony and cocktail hour, so naturally I planned the song stuff first, but... I've been kind of nervous since they're basically not charging us much and doing this as a favor, so I've been slightly worried that this may not really happen.

So I decided to just mail the singer the check for the amount we agreed on and she emailed me yesterday to set up a phone appointment for today.  We just talked tonight and I'M SO EXCITED!!!  This is really happening and it's going to be AMAZING!  Best aspect of the wedding totally!!!!

Listen to them- they are awesome!

Just had to share my enthusiasm!  Is anyone else having live musicians?  What are they going to play?

  • Yay !!! We are thiking of having a 15 person mexican band ;) this is always a must in our family but only if my parents pay for it.  They charge $800 an hour and we need them for 4 hours.
  • We're having a violinist guitar duo play at our ceremony. No clue what music yet though. What music did you decide on mel? if you don't mind sharing

  • So exciting! I really wanted someone to play the instrumental version of Train's marry me as I go down the aisle but everything looked pretty pricey so we are looking into good youtube ones and my dj will set us up with outside sound system stuff.

  • We're having a band called Leroy Ellington and the E-Funk Band.  They play anything from jazz, blues, the old crooners, and lots of newer cover songs.  They're going to play basic jazz standards during the dinner portion of the reception, and then fun dance music.  Our first dance is going to be "Accidently in Love"  I'm very excited.  I haven't figured out anything for the ceremony yet though.
