Hello all!
I'm really hoping someone can help provide me a location to have my wedding ceremony. The wedding date is set for May 14, 2011 and we have our reception site booked already. We considered (and will have to do this if we cannot find an alternative) having the ceremony at the reception site but it may not be very conducive to a wedding ceremony. I've tried many of the Universalist Unitarian churches in the area but they are all booked up already and I left a message at another. We are not looking to spend too much on renting the space because we will also have to provide transportation for our out of town guests (all pretty much on my side). Any ideas would be super helpful.
A bit about us: I am spiritual, not religious (not a cop out for being lazy but my personal beliefs about religion) and my FI is agnostic. We liked the UU churches because of their very progressive message and opening atmosphere. I am also pretty non-traditional and would love a spot that seems representative of us. We thought about the National Mall but I'm not completely sure about logistics for that. If anyone has experience with a wedding at the Mall, please share deets! Thanks for reading this long post but I never realized how behind the curve I was until today when I called and found places were booked!
