What is the etiquette for tipping?

HI everyone- Getting married in September in Newport. Just wandered what others were doing about tipping. Who is expecting to receive a tip? (florist, photographer, videographer, venue employees, band, etc.)

thanks for the help

We're tipping anyone who does NOT own their own business (catering staff, hair salon), and anyone who we feel deserves a tip.  So for example, our DJ is charging us $750 for the day, but he is his own business and he keeps all of that - he isn't giving anyone a cut.  However, we might throw him something extra if the party goes really well.

The general rule that you will hear is to tip any vendor that doesn't own their own business.  We plan on tipping all our vendors based upon the service provided, it will completely be based upon those vendor where they went above and beyond.  I would do what you think is appropriate and what you can afford.
