Maryville is not really a sight seeing town. But......Gatlingburg/Pigeon Forge is about about 30 mins away. It is a huge tourist area so be careful for what time of year you go. In this area there is Dollywood which some people would enjoy on their honeymoon. To me it is not really a honeymoon destination (but maybe because I live so close and go there often). If you have a big budget for a honeymoon I would look into Blackberry Farm. It is an all-inclusive in Walland, TN and there is a lot to do on property. I highly recommend it. Good luck hope this helps!

I live in maryville..we have a mall, 2 walmarts, restaurants, and that's about it.
From butterfly gap it's about a 40 minute drive to pigeon forge, so if you're up for that, go for it! It's an excellent place to stay according to every person I've EVER talked to about it.
