What's your favorite?

So-for budget reasons, we are only serving one entree for dinner at our reception. I figure that chicken is pretty universal (with the exception of vegetarians which we have none in our invited guests) I need some opinions on what type of chicken to serve---lemon pepper, cajun, blackened, garlic rosemary, bbq, parmesan crusted, chicken parmesan, chicken cordon bleu... The possibilities are endless.

So what is your favorite type of chicken? Or what do you think most people would enjoy?

Of the ones you listed I would say lemon pepper or blackened seems the most universal to me, just because Cajun is sometimes too spicy, some people do not like garlic, any if anyone is lactose intolerant they would be able to have any of the ones with cheese. Also bbq can be very messy so I would be concerned about that.

@ tera-I think lemon pepper and blackened are probably our favorites anyways. But just trying to get some objective feedback before the final decision. Thank you!!

I'd go with the chicken parmesan. I have no idea what "cajun" chicken is, but if it's just chicken with cajun seasonings that would not be as hot as blackened. I could be wrong, but around her blackened chicken is chicken thickly coated with spicy cajun seasonings and pepper and then chargrilled (delicious, but hot).

We had chicken piccata, which was chicken breasts in white wine/lemon sauce, without the capers. Of the choices you mentioned, I'd probably say the lemon peppered might be comparable. The parmesan crusted, if it had a sauce, would probably be good too.
