Rehearsal Dinner for about $250

Hello,

My first place where we decided to have our rehearsal dinner at is trying to back out on our deal and since I didn't get it in writing I can argue with them. They said the manager who made the dealer no longer works there and they can't honor it.

So now I'm looking for a place for about 30 or 33 people for about $250 to $300. Does anyone have any ideas on places or sugesstion on what I can do to stay in budget.

TIA

What area?  How formal?  Any preference on menu items?

Detroit, Southfield or even Farmington area. Nothing too formal, more casual and laid back. No prefrence on meal items really

There is always Buca diBeppo. It might be an idea since it's a family style menu and it might work for you. There are 2 locations. Livonia and Utica.

Ditto to Buca the food is great and they give you TONS of it too.

Do you know someone that has a clubhouse that you can rent out and just get the food catered?

I am renting out my sisters club house at her condo and getting food catered and I am spending less than $250 for all of it. We are not getting a super expensive caterer (long story) but I know the food will be good, people will eat it and it comes in under my budget.

But if you want to go somewhere I would say Buddy's in Farmington or Buca.

Thanks ladies. We actually have a club house that I can rent so I'm going to look into that.

Bucca di Beppo charges $25 per person (that was on an earlier post, and I also checked into it........way over your budget). We ended up going with Eastside Mario's in Livonia, menu price.

If you are looking for a caterer, I'd highly recommend any of the gourmet stores (Joe's, Vince and Joe's, Holiday Market). I ended up hiring Holiday Market for my wedding caterer, they have amazing food, reasonably priced (because they don't just cater, they are also a market). Some of these "gourmet store caterers" also have "box meals", which is a fun thing to do.

    Good luck.

Another would be Encore Catering. They are a division of Shields Pizza. They have a whole bunch of options.

My rehearsal dinner is totally laid back! We're going to Shield's Pizza for pizza and beer. :) It's $10 pp for all you can eat salad, breadsticks, pizza and pop. Alcohol is separate, of course.

    HTH... Good luck!
