NWR: Questionable Statuses

I love when my friends post things on Facebook that make me stop and do a double-take. My friend lives in the South is a SAHM and lives in a very nice suburb of a mid-sized city. Here is her status for today:
"Takes offense when reading the sign on on the door of the medical building that says for my safety I'm not allowed to bring my legal, licensed personal protection device in with me. I have yet to see a security guard, so I wonder just who is supposed to be keeping me safe when an individual doesn't heed said sign or other laws already in place that would keep said individual from threatening the good patients there."

So she feels so threatened that she's taking her gun with her to the doctor's office. She had her baby with her, too, so it's not like it could have been locked up in a gun safe or something!
And they're the five best friends that anyone could have, the five best friends that anyone could have! Photobucket

Is she mad that she can't take it in with her, or that she would have to leave it at home?

    People are nuts.

I love when people say stupid things on their status, I just had a friend do this the other day... about my shower, and how she didn't like when it was. BISHHH I have some great friends LOL

I've learned to keep my judginess at bay most of the time.  It's actually called not caring.  LOL

If you didn't specify that this person was in the South, I may have thought about it longer, but since she is in fact in the South I believe this mentality may be common.

I had a friend post a picture yesterday of a blanket with spitup on it. She tagged her husband because her daughter's spit up looked like a heart. Really! I don't care to see any of that.

    This is awful!

Amer, she was upset because she couldn't bring it with her into the doctor's office.

I think it funny that she is made about both not being able to bring a gun with her to the doctor's office and that there is no one around to actually stop her from bringing said gun into the doctor' s office.

    LOL Amy

And why would one want to bring  a gun to the doctor, who cares in the south or not... does she think she is going to be needed it there?!

WTF is going on at her Dr.'s that she needs a gun?

Everyday more things sway me towards staying in Europe.  The 40oz Starbucks cups and guns are today's items.

I am pretty sure that the issue f bringing a gun to the doctor is less about actually needing it and more about proving that you can if you want to.

Not that I agree with this line of thinking.  Sigh.

and I thought I was putting up questionable statuses...

Guns at a drs office? I work at a drs office and I'd be shocked if someone felt that they needed to bring a gun in here. Especially with some of the people...

Maybe she drives through Philadelphia on her way to work *winkwink* and needs the gun in the car for safety.  She doesn't want to leave her perfectly polished, loaded, special friend in the car, so she NEEDS to take it into the doc's office with her.  Perfectly logical.

ETA: I meant to the doc's office... not to work.

It's so funny when people post stuff that is ridiculous.

I like how my one relative always posts about their 2 year old daughter being up and bargaining for M &Ms etc to go to bed when it's like 11:30 at night.

Umm, I wouldn't brag about that.

Haha yea, try to take a gun from a southern!  They take it as a right to bear arms, so that sign is going against their rights.
