Where to get dress altered?

Looking for somewhere to get my dress altered. I need it taken in a little and I want my straight top made into a sweetheart top. Any thoughts?!

    I would check where you bought your dress....they usually do alterations.

    I bought my dress in AZ where I live at the time being, but we are moving and getting married in OK!

    You may call Alfred Angelo or David's Bridal and see if they do outside dresses for alterations. Call Alfred Angelo first (their consultants are less mean). Or try Nichols Hills Cleaners....I know they do gown preservation and cleaning, but I don't know if they do alterations....Hope this helps.

    </div><div>David's Bridal won't alter dresses that you didn't buy from them.  If you bought it at a DB in Arizona though they'll alter it at the store here.  I got mine at a DB in Ohio and altered it here</div>

    There is a place we used for my sister's gown called Sweis Tailors, it's in NW OKC.  She does a great job and I always use her for any alterations, I've had lots of things altered there and may use them if it's less expensive than where I got my dress.  She really doesn't charge very much at all in my opinion.

    I got my dress at Alfred Angelo and I'm doing my alterations there. The only thing about using them especially if you are on a budget is that they cannot give a price on how much they will charge to do the alterations. I'm doing my first fitting on friday. So I can give you an update about prices and how good they are if you would like for me too.

    I second sweis  tailors for alterations! They did my wedding dress and did a great job.  And i felt werent to expensive...expeically compaired to bridal places.

    I've been wondering the same thing, as I got my dress out-of-state in my parents' hometown.  I'm in Tulsa, and a friend just recommended Joann's Tailoring at 61st & Sheridan.  Besides herself, her cousin and friend have gotten their gowns altered there, and she said that everytime she goes in, she sees at least one wedding gown being worked on.  Though I can't vouch for Joann's myself, this is where I'm planning to take my gown.  Best wishes!

    If any of you are still looking, call Bella Rose Bridal in Edmond. I bought my dress at Aflred Angelo, but my sister (MOH) got hers there and the consultant said they have a lady they send dresses out to that they LOVE...I've never heard anybody rave about their alterations people the way she did...I'm planning on taking my dress to their people when it gets in!
