Frozen drinks....continued... (vent)

So as I posted before, my FMIL is throwing a little tantrum over having frozen drinks. I already asked the venue manager about this and she said no way. Which is fine with me because having the bar backed up and a blender running during my reception was a turn off.

Today she called and WENT to my venue HERSELF to complain! I had no idea! She has demanded the phone number to the owner of the club and kept going on and on about how many doctors will be at this wedding. I first could not believe she went behind my back and went without saying anything to me about going. I was also upset for her being so stuck up about things. People are people, I don't care who you are. Ugh...

It would be one thing if she was going to pay for the entire bar, but right now she would be splitting the bar 50/50. The manager said they will have to talk to the bar manager to "make up" a price because they have never done a frozen drink package.

That is so annoying, and rude on her part! I don't get why she is so adamant about having frozen drinks... is there a back story?

Oh my gosh! How rude of her. I would be so POed if my FMIL did that. Good luck with this one... Hope you win this battle since it sounds like you don't want the frozen drinks!

Mandi- no back story, she wont drink anything besides strawberry daiquiris or amoretto sours... You should have seen her face when I said we were going to have a beer and wine package.

OMG. That's so embarrassing and horrifying. I would want to die if my FMIL did that. These people have a lot at stake for you!! Wow. Good luck with this, I have no idea what advice to possibly give because I'm speechless at this point.

So embarassing. I know if this were my FMIL, she'd get a nasty phone call equating to "stay the f#ck out of my business and keep your money". No offense, but frozen drinks at a wedding that isn't on a beach sounds kind of childish - real adults drinks beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Or at least that's what me & my doctor friends do. You can tell your FMIL that.

Seriously, when people post sh#t like this I want to call these people myself, haha.

If she wants a damn daquiri so bad, she can bring her own blender and make them in the corner. This situation is completey ridiculous and she is acting like a CHILD. I work with tons of doctors and PhDs (and I'm almost a PhD myself), and I can assure you none of them drink frozen drinks. Where did she even get that idea? Again, ridiculous.
