What's wrong with me?

:(

The other night I had a dream that I had to kill somebody because the guy was stalking us and trying to kill us. TMI: I dreamed that I worked hard at trying to slice the person up. I was using a dull knife and kept slicing away his wrists, ankles, and throat. I woke up really creeped out and was scared to even go to the bathroom.

Last night I had a dream that I was attacked by a dog and I had bite wounds all over that wouldn't stop bleeding. I was in a LOT of pain and crying, my parents wouldn't really help me out. I went home from work (apparently I got attacked at work?). Then when I got home, one of the diamonds in my ring was missing so I stole my brother's FI's diamonds and my brother came after me, trying to kill me.

Am I going crazy here? *shudders*

  • Yikes! I sometimes have graphic dreams like that and they definitely shake you up. It is probably stress-related. They seem to happen in spurts. When they do, I take OTC melatonin (the sleep chemical your brain produces). It helps you go through your stages of sleep and can help (or has helped me, at least) reduce nightmares.

  • I agree with pillsbury, it's probably stress related.  Sorry you keep having such vivid bad dreams. =(

  • Aww you poor thing! That would freak me out too! Did you recently watch a bunch of episodes of Dexter or something to put that kind of thing in your head??

  • OMG!  Poor you!  I hate nightmares!  I'm guessing it's stress related as well.  I think it helps to talk about it.  I hope you get some restful sleep tonight!

Aw that's awful! I'm so sorry! Terrible vivid nightmares are THE WORST! It's definitely triggered by stress.. nothing is wrong with you Katie! :) Work in some relaxation wind-down time before you go to bed. Read a book, take a nice bath.. whatever relaxes you. That should help you prepare for a peaceful nights sleep!!
