Scott Metzger vs. Keith Berry...

I think I've narrowed my photographer search down to Metzger Studios or Berry Photos.  Anyone have any experience with either one?  Let me know what you think.

    We used Scott Metzger and are very happy with the work he did.  They are beautiful and everyone is so impressed.

    He also puts together a slideshow of his favorite pictures for you amazingly quickly- we got it the day after we got back from our honeymoon, only a week after the wedding!  And the full set of proofs went up online a week later- we waited almost 2 months for my sister's wedding pictures.

    He was very thorough and professional during the wedding, and although I don't remember seeing him at all during the ceremony, he got some great shots.  The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the prices for the albums and prints, though they may be in line with most pro photographers.

    we met with both and although they were too traditional for us both options are great!

    I also agree about Berry being too traditional. He was my original choice and he was very nice and his photos beautiful but I thought they were a little posed and generic. However, I know two couples who used him and speak very highly of him!

    we had narrowed our choices down to both Metzger and Berry Photos too and decided to go with Metzger...we really liked him, his work, etc.  Keith B. was very nice too and cost less, but I liked Metzger's work better and the photographer is something we were willing to spend more on....I think you'll be happy with either one of these photographers, it's all about your preference.

    We used Scott Metzger and absolutely loved our photos.  My SIL subsequently used him for her wedding too and was also very happy with her pics.  I have a review in my bio along with links to the slideshow he made for us and our album proof (link in siggy - see Vendor Reviews).  You definitely can't go wrong with Scott!

    I used Keith Berry years ago and he's done several friends/associates since.  I find him to be very comprehensive getting all the shots you could ever want, from the traditional posed family pictures to the more artistic photojournalistic pictures capturing the days events.  I found others to be too artsy, focussing on trying to impress too much and meanwhile missing the important aspects of the wedding itself.  

    Study both their websites.  See full weddings start to finish and look for things like exposure, light and shadows in bright or dark settings, etc.    Look at the emotions of the people and the action on the dance floors.  I don't know Metzger, but I know Berry does this VERY well and I too highly recommend him.
