Wedding Advice

I've always wanted to do this thread, but figured I'd wait until we were all done with our weddings. However, with the SHIIT I've been dealing with the last couple of days, I decided I'm already ready.

After going through this whole process, what piece of advice would you give future brides? You can only list one thing, so what piece of advice trumps all others?!

    Don't listen to anyone but yourself and your FI during the planning process. Don't let anyone convince you that your a bridezilla. Don't let anyone sway you away from the wedding dress of your dreams. Have your wedding where you want it when you want it.  Invite only who you want, don't let yourself be bullied. Tell anyone who has an opinion on your wedding budget to take a hike. Choose as many or a few and as even or uneven of a bridal party as your little heart desires. If you want a destination wedding do it. If you want an adult only reception, do it much to the dismay of your guests. If you want a dress code, put it on the invite. Screw everyone that thinks its wrong. Do a first look even if it makes your family members burst into flames from shock. And tell your bridesmaids exactly what dress and shoes to wear should you desire.

    For the love of God you are the only two who will look back on your day and truly analyze it and hope for more or wish for less. Follow your heart.
