Hey everyone. I posted on here wayyy back when first nailed down a date, but then had my last semster of grad school and wedding stuff just kind of went away! Thought I'd stop in and say hi again, since the board is so much more active now!
I'm 25, my fiance is 28, and we live in the outskirts of Pittsburgh. Met about 3 years ago, through mutual college friends in NJ, then I moved all the way out here just for him
My FI and I have been engaged for about 10 months already, with 10 months to go - we're getting married on May 25 at the Barn at Fallingwater (yep, on the property of the Frank Lloyd Wright house!) I'm currently in the fabulous role of "job-hunting" after graduating with my Masters in Teaching, sooo I've had a TON of time to wedding plan and have a lot of my "big" checks down - have my venue and date, photographer (and our e-pics are done and amazing!), caterer, officiant, just signed a DJ, got my dress, STDs are printed and about to be sent out, bridal party asked, wedding website done, hmmm oh and I have makeup artist booked and about to book my hair stylist. Whew! ...this is what unemployment does to an engaged girl.
I love to read, cook, and explore Pittsburgh. My MAT is in Secondary Ed English, so I'm hunting for an English-teaching job somewhere within an hour of here but the state of public education is a bit of a mess in PA right now. I'm also super crafty and have always loved DIY stuff, even before it was cool! So typiclally i have 75 million DIY wedding projects in the process.
