Hair Trial! (PIP)

Good morning, ladies!

I had my hair trial early on Saturday morning. While I wasn't thrilled about missing my one opportunity to sleep in (I can sleep after the wedding, right?), I was really pleased with my stylist and and the wedding day 'do. I think I'm going to do something a bit different with my bangs, but otherwise, I'm happy with it!

Here are the photos (please ignore the mug shot expression...)

Additionally - the stylist estimated 45 minutes per girl, (that would be 5-6 total, depending on if FMIL wants her hair done) on wedding day. Because of that, she will be the only stylist on the day of.  Does that seem reasonable?

  • Gorgeous!

I would be a bit nervous about one stylist doing my hair AND all my girls. My stylist is doing my mom and then I have separate hair stylists doing the girls hair (we're going to the salon.)

It might be fine, I would just worry about rushing to get through everyone and it seems a but of an inefficient use of time on an already hectic day.
  • I love it!!

As for having only one stylist, it will take her 4.5 hours to do just their hair plus the time to do your hair.  I personally would not what my hair done for that long before the wedding, but it is up to you.  I would ask for a second stylist for that many people.  I had 6 people including myself for my first wedding and I had two stylists that we there for about 3-4 hours.

  • Well I only have one hairstylist for me, 3 of my 4 BM are getting updos and my mom and FI's mom who both have short hair but want her to do a little something with it. We are also starting bright and early to be done before noon hopefully so that my hairstylist can get back to her shop and do a few homecoming 'dos before time for my wedding at 5. I'm not worried about it falling..we're doing pictures at 3. So it really isn't that bad. I'm more worried about doing makeup that early!

  • I chuckled at your 'mug shot expression' phrase! I think it looks great, and works well with your veil.

We had a hair trial Saturday, mostly to run through and estimate how much time we need on the wedding day. For the four of us, she wants 2 hours. However, my niece (FG) and I both are taking advantage of our natural curls - so she can wrap us up quickly. She will curl my sister's hair (MOH) and my SD's hair.
