Remember the freakout I had re: the bad online reviews for my photographers?

After thinking about it, I decided to email my photographers about the posts on The Knot.  I consider our photographers to be friends of our, not just our wedding photographers, so I wrote them a nice email with an update on our wedding plans, and included the links to the messages on the knot.

Our photographers are a husband/wife team, and the wife (who I have bonded with) called me immediately after I sent the email to thank me for sending her the links.  She actually started crying when she tried to explain the horrible experience they had with one particular client (who apparently has obtained multiple screen names on wedding websites and posted multiple bad reviews about them).  She absolutely eased every single apprehension I had about choosing them as our photographers....and shows that you guys were absolutely right about the crazy people out there who write bad reviews. 

So, moral of the story, if there are bad reviews out there - more than likely, there is an explanation involving a crazy bridezilla.

    Glad you got everything squared away. Like you have mentioned you can't take those reviews at face value, although we all do it, including me.

    Im glad it worked out so well for you! That was great call; to reach out to your photographer personally.  
    Thats awful that the other crazy bridezilla has gone to such great lengths to sabotage the business. No wonder she was crying on the phone. Luckily there are sane people like you who recognize the talent. Im sure your pictures are going to be spectacular. :)

    Some people suck. I feel bad your photographers have to defend themselves like that, I remember how amazing your engagements pictures were.

    I'm glad you talked to them and they eased your mind.  Sometime I am shocked by things people do!  Photography is apparently a cut throat business.  I have a high school friend who had someone post pics with her logo and business information that were horrible and inappropriate while she was on maternity leave with her first baby last month.  She is an amazing, sought after wedding photographer and was able to get the websites that had shared the photos to post retractions and take them down.  We were all shocked someone would do that to her bc it was so mean and she is so talented and sweet!  People are crazy!
