Update on Kids/Cousins issue

Oh. My. God. FI's cousin just called him BALLING about not being able to bring her baby to the wedding. You know, it's not even the kid/no kids issue...I'm just upset that this cousin has been told our decision at least 3 times and felt the need to call my FI up and try and guilt him into changing his mind...again. So manipulative. 

I feel badly for FI - I know it's not easy for him to take such a stand. He's so passive and doesn't like to rock the boat. I've had to deal with a lot of calls like this from my mom and sister (about other issues), but this was the first one for him. :(

    She didn't take it well and it is a joint decision, so yes he maintained that. He explained to her that it's not just her kid, but if we have hers, we have to invite like 10 more and the chances of one of them screaming during the ceremony/reception is not something we're comfortable with. 

    She continues to guilt trip him. She texted him and said "well I guess I have to decline. I can't leave my baby knowing she'll be upset. I am heartbroken that I can't go." It infuriates me because: she doesn't know the child will be upset since she's never ever left her with a babysitter AND it's not that she can't go...she's choosing not to (and I respect her decision and understand that children come first, but take some responsibility that this is your choice!). 

    I'm just infuriated that she's been so persistant when we've told her know 4 times now.
