Which All-Inclusive Resort in Playa Del Carmen?

I think my fiance and I decided on Playa Del Carmen for our honeymoon.  We want an all-inclusive resort.  I've heard of a few good ones but would love some input on places that anyone has stayed personally and has loved!  I would also love to hear of any excursions you took.  Thanks!

  • The Royal!  DH and I went in June and LOVED it.  Good food, great spacious rooms with big jacuzzis and bed, great service (there were people who misted us with cool water by the pool!)

The best thing was that it is within walking distance (like 2 blocks away) from 5th Avenue, which is a ton of fun to walk through, especially in the evening.  Tons of shops and vendors, lots of restaurants.  It was a great place to get souvenirs and such, and fun just to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere.  Let me know if you have any questions about it!
  • We are going to the Royal Playa Del Carmen on Oct 22 and I cant wait! My travel agent just raves about the place and I keep hearing better and better things about it. I will post reviews as soon as we get back!
  • We are honeymooning at El Darado seaside heights. We have talked to half a dozen people who have been there and they loved it!!

I literally just got back from there Sept 20 this year for just a vaca with my fiance (we called it our practice honeymoon"). We had the junior jac swim out suite. It was nice, great people, nice beach, romantic, awesome massages but honestly I liked the El Dorado Royale better. The food was much better there and that's a big part of it for me. Seaside Suites is more intimate as it is much smaller, it's also closer to Playa which is nice too (if you go to Playa make sure you check out Coco Bongo's it's amazing!). there's pros and cons to both though and we met some AMAZING people so I enjoyed it. Probably won't go back though.
