So, as mentioned in the GM post, I had the best weekend! My parents and brothers came into Philly late Friday night and Saturday my dad and bros left for AC for FIs bachelor party. My mom and I went to the mall then out to dinner to my favorite Mexican restaurant with FMIL, FSIL, and on of my best friends (and BM). It was so amazing because as the waitress was at our table telling us the specials... I saw my other BFF - and BM - stroll in (the one who just moved to California) and I seriously almost died! It was the best surprise ever!! She missed my Pgh shower and bachelorette party b/c she was moving that weekend and it was just so wonderful to see her!
They all surprised me and had my BFF fly in the for the weekend! We had a wonderful night! Got a few drinks at a local bar then headed back to my apt where we had a really fun girls sleepover - we even watched Tangled (one of my new favs)... LOL! SO much fun!
Then we had reservations for 'brunch' on Sunday afternoon so we all went over to FMIL's house then off to brunch... or so I though... We showed up at this gorgeous restaurant on the river that was filled with friends and family and SURPRISE! It was my Philly shower! SO amazing!! I got tons of wonderful things and just had the best time!! We seriously don't have enough room in our apt to hold everything! LOL!
I have a few photo albums (shutterfly etc) that some of the ladies emailed to me last night so PM me your email address if you want to see and I will send them over to you!!
Oh and my MOH and the rest of FI's family had the best surprise for me at the shower... They took FI out one night (a few months back) and got a few drinks in him and they asked him questions about me and our relationship and video taped his responses. So at my shower they played a game where they sat me down and played the tape - asking me the same questions! It was so much fun! They asked me the questions and then played his responses. If I was right, I got a hershey kiss - if I was wrong, I had to put a piece of gum in my mouth! lol - it was SO much fun! Needless to say I got a lot of qu's right!
Oh and they also had a multiple choice type of quiz with the qu's at everyone's seat to fill out. The first 10 ladies who got the most questions right got a prize - it was SUPER fun and it was so sweet to hear FI's responses!
Anyway, sorry for the WOT but I just had a wonderful weekend and wanted to share! CAN'T BELIEVE the wedding is only 26 days away!!!
