Need to find a Florist....

Hey there fellow Knotties! I have gone through the stickies and looked into what people have posted for Florists and most of them are seem to be on the "west-side" of the state ie Trenton or Ann Arbor, etc. With myself and the venue on the East side I was hoping to find someone in this area. I have already met with Lori of Floral Designs by Lori ( I have not received my quote yet so not sure what to expect yet); she seems really nice and easy to work with, but I want to make sure I get my money's worth and do a little shopping around before I make my final decision as I am sure you all can relate. If someone could offer some recommendations it would be greatly appreciated!!!

You can also try Michelle Nonis.  She does work out of her house so she doesn't charge crazy amount of money like some florist shops do.  She is located in Warren and is great to work with.  When I met with her, she gave me a quote right then and there.  Her number is 586-776-1201 and phone is the easiest way to get ahold of her.  She is not really good with email, so definitely call her.

Ditto Cori, I just booked Michele Nonis last week. The one caveat with her is that she doesn't do bouquet only receptions (which I was planning on having). But, her low price and "vision" talked me into doing floral centerpieces as well!

I'm using Westborn Flower Market. They have a few different locations in Metro Detroit and had very reasonable prices. http://www.westbornmarket.com/flowers.htm

Hey ladies, it's been several months since I've posted anything on here or even checked, so I hope this finds you all well!

I used Linnaea Floral Designs for my flowers (http://linnaeafloraldesign.weebly.com/) and couldn't have been happier.  It's run by twin girls, one on the East side of the state and one on the West... so they go all over.  Just wanted to through another option out there for you!

    Happy planning!

This is who I'm using too! I talked to April and was a bit put off by her to be honest...dogs jumping on me and her getting up every 5 minutes for her kids kids (even though her husband was home) was unprofessional, and the only suggestion she had for me was a rose and hydrangea bouquet, I wasn't loving that look and didn't get any other ideas from her. When I showed her my centerpiece inspiration pics she said that would be very expensive and showed me a simple inexpensive options instead, that didn't even resemble what I asked for. Umm, I know I look young, but that doesn't mean you should assume I won't spend some extra on what I really want.

Lisa and Erin (the sisters who run Linnaea) are great, they sent me tons of pictures of ideas for flowers until we came up with a combo I loved. And the centerpieces I'm getting are awesome, exactly what I wanted. At the consult they brought me a sample bouquet and a vase for me to keep. I'm getting 5 bouquets using garden roses and ranunculus, and 17 centerpieces, half manzanita branches with garden roses at the base and hydrangea wires on the branches, and half pomanders made of garden roses, and rose petals for my aisle, for about 1k. So they're pretty inexpensive too, mine's a bit more costly because my centerpieces are more complicated.

Twigs and Branches!!!!  Everyone I know is going with Kevin from there .... he used to work for Viviano's and then ventured off on his own.  He is young and has AMAZING ideas!!  You HAVE to look at his website!
