Venue around Sacramento Area

I am getting very frustrated in finding a venue. I visted a few places in Sacramento but they all quoted me $12,000 or more just for the venue and food. Crazy. Does anyone have any ideas of other venues that are not that expensive around the Sacramento area. I would love a place that would allow us to bring our own caterers. I am expecting around 130 people and right now i wouldn't care if it was a hotel or garden. Thanks!!

Try Mulvaneys downtown.  You have to use their food (AWESOME!! btw), but they only charge you $100 for the space, and would probably drop that if you asked them to make you a deal.

    Good luck!

For how many people are you looking to hold? I was quoted about $9k at Courtyard D'Oro in Old Sac, but you have to use the caterers that contract with them. We have our tasting this weekend.

Tsakopolous Galleria is pretty cost efficient and I saw a wedding featured there online not too long ago and it was GORGEOUS!

I looked at the library galleria too. It was nice and reasonably priced.

Try Sacramento Garden Pavilion. They are charging us $6,800 something for 150 people and that includes the facility rental, tables, chairs, linens, service, catering, and a hotel room. Their in house caterer is Hannibal's, but they do let you bring in your own, and they charge a fee to do so. http://sacramentogardenpavilion.com/

Please be careful about using Hannibal's catering! My cousin used them for a party and Hannibal's forgot items and even brought incorrect items. When my cousin contacted them to get her money refunded for the missing items they told her they didn't know what she was talking about and refused to give her a refund. Then she called a second time and the other person she talked to hung up on her! And finally her husband called and they actually listened to him and acknowleged they had forgotten the item but offered a credit for their "next catering" instead of a refund.
Sorry about the rant. I just don't want any of my fellow knotties getting screwed over! <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

Yikes, JMot! Thanks for the tip! I was considering Hannibal's before I got the venue I did. That's really bad customer service no matter how good their food may be.

The Delta King is pretty reasonably priced, they have all inclusive packages and it's a very nice.  The catering is done by their in house restaurant.  You can find more info on their website.
