So Nervous

My wedding is just under 4 months away and I have started to freak out. I feel great about getting married but I am so nervous for the ceremony. Walking down a long aisle with everyone staring. I'm so happy to be doing this in church because going through the mass will be so familiar and comfortable for me that I think it will relax me a bit so that should help once I get down there.

I am also nervous about being nervous... like spending the day getting ready all in anticipation of this time when I have to go down the aisle.

Was anyone else really nervous for the ceremony?

I feel nervous as well, thinking about getting ready in the morning, hoping everyone will be on time. We're counting on many other people to make things run smoothly, so not being in control of every detail makes me nervous. I'm also worried about perspiring, which I tend to do when i'm nervous! But I've already told my mom, grandma and MOH that I need everyone to be calm, cool and collected, because if others around me are nervous, then I'll become nervous too! Luckily I have a lot of support.

But being nervous is normal!! Focus on why we're doing this, our love for our fiances! I'm going to focus on him because that calms me down. When I see him at the end of the aisle for the first time, then I'll know everything will be alright. :)

Yes, I was nervous before the big day. But honestly, the biggest advice I can give you is to BREATHE. Seriously. Do it. It really helps. And smile. Everything will be fine.

Just remember the most important thing: at the end of the day you will be married regardless of what little mishaps my occur.

    Congrats on your upcoming marriage!

i had a full blown panic attack in the half hour between our photos and walking down the aisle (it was supposed to be our "relax and get ready for the ceremony time" after 2 hours of pics).

oddly, the second we started walkign down the aisle, all nerves and panic went away. i truly felt like god was with me and i wasnt nervous at all the rest of the day.  when we said our vows, it was like we were the only 2 people there.

I had a mini panic attack right before I walked down the aisle.  It all calmed down the minute I made eye contact with my H.  And after that, I was floating on clouds.

I'm so thrilled that we're able to get married in the Church...I know the details will make us crazy, but we're going to try to focus on each other, and sharing that day with God & our family & friends. You will be fine!!

I'm with you. I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and I was getting so nervous for my own wedding just from watching my cousin get married!!

I'm also literally right there with you :)  I've been having wedding nightmares lately...  Since I'm naturally detail-oriented and like to be in control, it's a challenge for me to let go and rely on others :)  This whole wedding thing will be good practice for just being fine if things don't go exactly the way I planned them!

As far as the ceremony, I definitely agree on being nervous... I don't really like being the center of attention ever and my fiance and I are planning on memorizing our vows.  We'll see how that  goes :)

I'm so scared this will happen to me. I get random minor to very severe panic attacks that come out of nowhere. I'm hoping I can go the whole day without any type of panic attack.
