Wedding Dress Disaster

My wedding dress came in and so much is wrong with it. It seems like it would be more expensive to do alterations than to get an entirely new dress.

I'm planning on selling it, but does anyone know of a place where I can buy fairly inexpensive dresses off the rack?

That is awful. :(  So sorry to hear that!! You might try looking on ebay or craigslist for people that are selling thier used wedding dresses..

Also, check the for sale sticky at the top of the forum. There might be some in there.

Why is the dress so messed up? Good Luck sweetie!!

I'm so sorry.  I know David's sells off the rack.  Also, look at your favorite designers and see if they have any trunk shows in the area.  The ruffled blog also has a large classified section and a lot of girls are selling their dresses there.  Good luck.

Not sure what size/style you are looking for but I have a beautiful Jolie bridal gown that I purchased and ended up not wearing - it's new with tags. Here is a description of the dress:
The dress is ivory in Matte Satin. It is sleeveless with an off the shoulder sweetheart neckline with a wrapped/ruched waistline and lace up back. The skirt has an A-line skirt with a chapel length train. This dress has beautiful beading, especially on the hip.
    Measurements:Bust 35Waist 26Hips 37

Let me know if you'd like to see any pictures!

Most bridal boutiques are willing to sell their samples off-the-rack at a discount.  I'd go to all of the ones in town and see what you find.  Good luck!!!

I'm so sorry, where did you purchase it?? Have you tried the recycled dress blogs - preownedweddingdresses.com, recycledbride.com, oncewed.com? That's where I purchased my dress... got it within 7 days and am very happy with the purchase! Good luck!!

Definitly check out David's Bridal...the service isn't always spot on, but they are having a sale. I bought my dress off the rack, and it was one of their $99.00 sale dresses and I couldn't love it more if I had designed it myself! GL

That sounds terrible!  So sorry to hear it. I agree with some of the other ladies; check out Davids Bridal.  They'll sell you the sample off of the rack and they're having a great sale.  Don't use them for alterations and don't expect great customer service unless they've changed managers/employees, but you can get a great dress for an unbelievable price.  I bought mine there and haven't regretted it at all.
