candy buffet help!

Hey girls,

For those of you that did a candy table, or are planning to- where did you go to get the items for the buffet? Did you buy on-line through a manufacturer or did you just buy in bulk from Sams/Costco? I am just starting to plan my candy table and i am looking for some ideas! Also, do you have any cute DIY ideas for the buffet? I want to have a great buffet, but i am just trying to keep the costs down :)

Thanks!

Bulk Candy Store online has a wonderful selection and about once a month they e-mail me coupons. If you call them they are willing to help you any way they can. I thought about doing a candy buffet atmy rehearsal dinner, but opted for a grooms cake instead.

I am using Bulk Candy Store online too - they have the best prices and shipping by far than others online...I have searched for months.  I will be getting a couple items at BJ's.  I really think it depends on what candy you want that determines where to get the stuff.  Costco/Sams/Bj's do not have  a lot of specialty/ color specific candy so you would need an online place for those types of candy.

As far as DIY ideas - you can google candy buffets and get a lot of ideas.  I am making our signs and giving our DOH a sketch of how I would like things to look...then the rest is up to her to complete the vision.  I purchased assorted apothecary jars and other glass vases/jars to use.

I am doing a combination of the bulk candy store and Wal-Mart and Sam's. I am shopping for the lowest price and I can get quite a bit of the candy that I want from Wal-Mart. We are doing a retro candy bar versus a color coordinated one since we are having a 1950's wedding. Coincidentally our colors our colors are red and black and a lot of the retro candy has red wrappers, so it is coordinating anyway.
