I GIVE UP!!!!!! STUPID GUEST LIST!!!!

FI and his guest list are starting to get ridiculous!!!! So as you know I sent out our STD's and then FI ask if I sent one to 10 other people uhhhhh NO!!!! You didn't tell me  those people!!! So not only did he just add 20 more people but I had to order more STD's to send to more people. I told him after these 20 people there is NO MORE ADDING OR CHANGING THE NUMBER OF GUEST WE ARE INVITING!!!!! Thanks for the mini vent!!!

    Lol, gotta love 'em!! I've been asking mine for his list with addresses forever....guess I have to contact his mom and get it from her or his brothers since they have mutual friends. UGH

    That's what I'm afraid of. We're finalizing the list this weekend so I can start gathering addresses. Supposedly list looks good he asks for 2 more people fine. So now to be safe I'm asking mil make sure I didn't forget family. Then I'll go through it with my dad an we should be done.

    I had to get all of his addresses for him!!! I told him for the rest of the people he wanted to invite he has to get the rest of them on his own. I am over this part of planning already...

    I know what you mean. The guest list drove me crazy, but thankfully since FI and have been together so long I knew majority of who to invite from his side. I then went over it with him and also sent a copy to his mom who was amazing and was able to pull together almost all of the addresses for me. We have just about finalized it, but we do a have small list of people we haven't decided on. Mainly because we are at our max we had set for ourselves and want to talk to our venue and get a better estimate on what it is going to cost us before we add anyone else.

    I feel your pain... except with my mom and dad! They aren't as involved right now as I'd like them to be (my sister just had a baby and all the attention goes to them, which is usually fine at this point), but we are trying to really crack down on the list and finalize it, then mom says yesterday "Oh, I have a handful of people to add" and it was hell trying to get out of dad who he thought I should invite from his distant relatives in Michigan. Grrr!!!

    I'm sorry, that sucks. We actaully put in 6 "filler" seats in the event that we change jobs or our mind on someone and we want to be sure that they get invited. I know it sounds silly but this way before we send out the invites we can look at our list and see ok we are inviting these people for sure that were on the fence about or if I get a new job I can invite my new boss (which in my mind for some reason is the polite thing to do but I think I just made it up as proper LOL). Obviously once you send out a STD you're locked into sending them an invatation but there is alwasy someone who you wish you could of invited at the last moment.
