Hello ladies,
Just curious to know about how long after you took your engagement pics did the photographer get back to you with the images?

It took us 1 month to get our teaser pictures (just got it last week). We will probably have to wait another month before getting all of them.

That sounds awfully long. Our photographer said we should get all of wedding pics back within 3-4 weeks. I would think with a short engagement shoot, they'd turn them around in 3-4 days.

For our first shoot, we got teaser pictures a few days later (he was bombarded with wedding pictures at the time so obviously those are priority). We received our proofs a month later & our edited images two weeks after we selected our proofs.

For our second shoot, we got the teasers the next day (I think he was a little excited b/c we did our second shoot at Citifield (which killed me since I'm a huge Yankees fan but it made FH happy lol)). Our proofs arrived a month later & we received our edited images two weeks after we selected our proofs.

This varies photographer to photographer, but 1-4 weeks is pretty standard. It also depends on how much retouching is done and how many proofs they are supplying.

Typically, wedding workflow takes priority over E pics, so during busy times of season, the turn around may be longer (but your photographer should be honest with you about realistic turn around times).

Also, note not all of us here are ladies!

Exactly this. The following 2 weekends my photog had weddings, and then he was on a personal vacation, so it definitely took longer than maybe others. We shot for 2.5 hours, so he took A LOT of pics. Went through 3 memory cards!
