Potential Vegas GTG times

Since we seem to have a fair share of both pre and post-marriage participants on our wonderful Vegas board, a recent get together thread got me thinking it would be a good idea to see what times of year most of us like to go to Vegas in case anyone wants to make the trek around the same time and have a get together.

I'll make a poll for all twelve months but if there's any speical dates you all like or recommend feel free to post too.

Too bad it doesn't let you make multiple choices.  We generally are in Vegas during our "off-seasons," so April/May and October/November.

Yeah, I coudln't even do the whole calendar; only lets you have ten options. :-)

We're typically May/June but if nothing is going on, later fall or even December when business is slow is attractive too.

I un-stuck the thread for the time being since, if you're like me, you don't even notice the stickies anymore as they're always there.

    STALKER!

I am totally in Vegas in December BUT rates are kind of high because the marathon is that weekend.

I go to Vegas all the time but we tend to favor December, March (for the madness), August (so, ya know, we can get married), April (cuz nothing says Happy Easter like a $2 yo), but we are open to any time.

I'll be there at the end of September/beginning of October!! :):)

But I usually go whenever it is cheapest! We've had good luck at the end of February/beginning of March.

Usually when I go it's something like Thursday to Monday so we get more time and I don't have to fight weekend travelers.

Yes, I was commenting in general because not everyone goes on weekends.

Vegas during March Madness is insane/awesome.

I voted May, but I usually like any time the weather is good enough to sit by the pool and not freeze or melt.

I will need at least a years notice people!

While I attempt to make it out there ALL the time, here are the times I have been there:

March - like Smokey said, for the Madness
June/July - FI plays in the WSOP
November - Thanksgiving and watch tons of football
December - Christmas is lovely in Vegas

I would also not be opposed to this upcoming January for an SPECTACULAR EXTRAVAGANZA of gambling and partying  *adjusts monocle & squints at ticker*

I'd like to see the WSOP in person at some point, that would be cool if I can root for someone in it too (sportsbear's FI).

I usually go midweek. Just b/c it's easier to get weekdays off work than weekends. But with me being in school, we've been going more often on the weekends.

That being said, I'm always in Vegas at the begining of October. FI & I work at the Las Vegas Ren Faire. Shameless plug:

Otherwise we go when we get a good deal. This year we went/ are going:Jan, April, July, Oct (twice!)

It's amazing if you are a poker nerd, like me.  However, I am a freakin' nervous wreck while he is playing in big tourneys...I usually just check in and go to the pool/spa/shops so I don't lose it and embarrass him. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />

We will be there from Sept 25 to Oct 4.  Anytime then (except for the 1st, I'll be busy haha) would be a great time!
We usually go in Oct/Nov, but March sure sounds like fun too!

I don't want to visit the desert in the summer.

    I like off-seasons. And tequila.
