bridesmaid dress nerves

We are having all 4 girls in our wedding wear a different style of Jordan Chiffon floor length Aubergine dress.  I originally wanted to have everyone order them from the same dress shop so they were all cut from the same ream of fabric.  I was told this needed to be done otherwise they would all be a different shade of Aubergine.  Well, 2 girls live out of state and it is just so much easier (and cheaper) for them to order their dresses from where they live.  I'm thinking that since they are all 4 wearing different styles and one girl will be on my FI's side and I will have 2 men in tuxes on my side, that everything will be mixed up enough that the possible color differences wont matter.  But I'm starting to get a little nervous about it.  But, I trust the girls to make sure their dress shops don't mess it up and order the wrong color.  lol  Hopefully the slight differences in Aubergine won't be a big deal.  I can't imagine that it would be.  I don't know.  Have any of you ever had experience with this?  I know if we were to order from Netbride.com they couldn't guarantee the same ream of fabric either - so it must be ok, right?  lol
Ok, definitely over-thinking this one.  It will be totally fine.  And even if they're a little different, who cares!!
Funny - I feel  better just typing this out.  :)  Thanks for "listening"!

LOL! This post made me laugh cuz I totally understand the overthinking the bridesmaid dress color thing! I went through it too, and decided in the end that it was just way too much stress to try to get the girls in one place much less get them to decide on one designer they all liked. Mine are all wearing black satin dresses and we've got like 3 different designers, lol.

I'm just glad they all have a dress!

I just need to remember that the bridal shop wants my bridesmaids to spend their money there - so they are motivated by that.  And it's ok for me to not care if they're different.  Sheesh!!  Such a silly thing to worry about.  lol

I wouldn't be too concerned.  My girls (7 of 'em) got to select their own Dessy/ After 6 tea length dress in Cornflower blue.  We were told that you can't have your dresses cut from the same fabric because the our different styles.  So needless to say all my ladies dresses will be cut from different fabric of the cornflower blue.  I am not worried!  I love the color and just like flowers can be different shades of the same color, my maids dresses will be slightly different.  They are also different fabrics (some chiffon others satin).  I think yours will be beautiful.  Love that color!  No worries!

I agree - all will turn out great! I totally get what you mean about worrying about this stuff though. But you're a bride - you're entitled :)

I think it's great that you're so considerate of making things easier on your BMs. They'll look awesome!

For my FSIL's wedding we all ordered ours at the same time with the same bridal shop (there were 7 of us). We didn't notice it until the day of but 1 of the girl's dresses was significantly darker than the rest. You could see it in all the pics but it wasn't a huge deal. The bride was pissed though because we ordered them at the same time like the bridal shop said we should do. So I think you will be just fine, there was nothing we could do about it when we did what we were "suppose" to do.

Ooh, yeah, that would make me mad if I had been told they would be the same and they weren't.  Atleast this way, it's my decision.  :)
