Yesterday, Chavis and I took the day off and got a lot of stuff done. FIrst, we went to meet with my OB/GYN to have a pre-conception meeting. We are both 29 and want 3 or 4 kids (I know....GASP!), so we won't be waiting too long. We just wanted to get our ducks in a row before we start trying.
Then we went to the courthouse to get our marriage license. We actually had to go twice because the first time we forgot the paperwork from our Pastor showing we completed marriage counseling. It was worth the trip back home to save $32.50! We both got pretty emotional after we got the paper. We were tempted to go across the street and have the JOP marry us, but decided we could wait out the next 23 days...LOL
Then we went to his work and they threw us a shower. I was thinking that I would meet some coworkers, we would open a few cards, and have a piece of cake. But, basically his entire department was there and there was a huge gift table full of gifts. They had a big cake from Publix and some yummy homemade deviled eggs. We had to get a flatbed cart to get all the gifts to his car! Wow! What an unexpected blessing! I don't know if there's anything left on our registry!
The icing on the cake was we met our awesome photog, Stephanie Smith, in downtown St. Pete and had our E-shoot. The weather was perfect although it was ridiculously hot, so I'm hoping I don't look like a hot sweaty mess in all of them. :-/ We brought our dog, Doxy, all dressed up in his bowtie. hehe
I cannot wait to see how they turned out!
What a great day and today is Friday! Woo hoo! Only 23 more days til I'm a Mrs!
