Buckeyes

Hi ladies.  I'm new here to this board.  I'm originally from Ohio, but will be having the wedding in Oklahoma.  I am thinking about making Buckeye candy for favors as a way of incorporating a little bit of Ohio into the wedding.  However, should I do something as well in case someone is allergic to peanut butter?

Buckeyes, in case are not aware, are basically peanut butter covered in chocolate.

TIA

You can't know about everyone's allergies!  Just make sure that whatever note you put on them clearly states "peanut" where guests can see it before they open or eat.  That way, if they are, they will leave them alone!

Used to live in Ohio....LOVE Buckeyes!   Smile

Cincinnati and Cleveland native here.  Looove Buckeyes.  My mom included them in a care package with Skyline, Montgomery Inn, Husmans and Grippos when my parents came out here for my wedding.

I agree with Muffin's mom.  Just put a note that the candy contains peanut butter.

I agree with Muffin's Mom on this. One of our guests personally reached out to me as she is allergic to just about everything and so she asked  to be seated nowhere the cookie table we were having. But if there were any allergy concerns by the other guests, I never heard tell of it. You can't possibly know your guests' medical issues, etc.

Include a nice personalized message with a line about the possible allergy issue.

    Great favor!
