Alterations by Becky

For all of the Brides that have had alterations done by Becky--how long did they take?

 I have an appointment with her on 10/11 and I'm having a destination wedding and  
 flying out on 10/28  i'm getting nervous that maybe i'm cutting it too close.  
 Also I know that everyone says she very inexpensive but I have no idea how much 
 that would be because I don't know what are the customary charges for bridal alterations.

    I think mine was $100 or $150 (I don't remember) to take it in and do a bustle. 

    I dropped my dress off in lat January/Early feb and I picked it up in April...BUT I told her I didn't want it at my house becuase I didn't want H to stumble upon it.

    Does she know when you're flying out? If she does I'm sure she wouldn't take you on knowing she couldn't do it.

    Yeah, mine took about a month, BUT that's when I told her I needed it.

    I had a lace scallopped hem, which meant to shorten my dress, she had to completely remove the bottom row of lace, trim the tulle, and sew the lace back on. she also added two bustles (my dress was in 2 parts), and took in the shoulders. All of that cast $200.

    I dropped my dress off last Saturday. I'm having the dress shortened 5", adding a French bustle, and two auxiliary bustles. I am picking my dress up 10/13 and she is charging me 150.

    To have my dress taken in, hemmed, bustled and cups sewn in was $125 in 2009.  I do believe $125 was her minimum at least back then. 

    Does she know your timeline?  Just let her know and she will have it done--I think I got mine back in 2 weeks but like the PP, I was in no rush.

    Thanks everyone--yes I told her when we were flying out--I guess reading how early everyone else had their dresses altered made me a little nervous.

    Those prices are great --so happy--now time to decide/pick out a veil!

    Please post her contact info! I need my dress hemmed I am sure (it comes in early December and is a Maggie Gow so I need the BEST of the best)! Where is she located? I am in Denton.
