Reception Site suggestions!!! :)

Hello all! I am looking for reception sites in the Camden County/Burlington County areas. Any suggestions? Has anyone booked venues in these areas? Any places I should steer away from? Thanks for your help!

When is your date, and are you looking for anything in particular?  I looked at Venice, Luciens, Tomasellos, Valleybrook, Renault and Brigalias but ultimately went with Renault.  I wanted a fall wedding with a vineyard theme so that's why I went with them.  I did like Luciens and Venice as well.  Tomasello's facility was to small, but their packages start in the 44.00 range.  Valleybrook also has inexpensive packages but I also thought that there room was small.

I think that it really depends on what your looking for, budget, and number of guests.  Hope this helps some.

The Community House on Main Street in Moorestown is beautiful and newly renovated, also Im getting married at Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill...I bargained with them and they came doen from $140 per person to $79. a person. The facility is very pretty and they also do outdoor ceremonies. Fall time the trees look spectacular.  Anyway those were my fav's.  Oh and Aloft in Mt. laurel. VERY modern and really cool : )

Thank you all for your posts! My wedding will take place on Aug. 7, 2011. I am looking to invite approximately 100 people. At this point, I have not determined a budget. I kind of want an outdoor wedding.

@lynee397 I have an appointment with Lucien's tomorrow, so I am glad that it was suggested! I will look into the other places that you suggested as well. Thank you for your help. You informed me of some options that I did not know existed!

@natp... Thank you for your help! I will look into these venues. I love the country club idea. I don't know why I looked over Woodcrest! THANK YOU.

@lcalleto.... Thank you for your suggestion. I am googling the place as we speak!

Any places that you ladies have seen that I should steer away from?

We looked at Lucien's, The Mansion on Main Street, and Aloft Hotel in Mount Laurel. We decided to go with The Mansion on Main Street over Lucien's because we fell in love the The Pavilion (where the ceremony would be). If you're not looking to do your ceremony at the same place, Lucien's is a great deal. However- if you're looking to do all-in-one, they don't have an outdoor ceremony space and their indoor one is in the basement of the building. ICK.

We are also having our reception at the Renault Winery but it's not in Burlington or Camden County. Not sure if you are restricted to those counties but some places we checked out were The Hamilton Manor, Lucien's, The Mansion, Brigalias, The Westin in Mt. Laurel, The Wyndham in Mt. Laurel, The Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, The Castle, Summit Catering, Pine Hill Golf Club, and Indian Springs Country club. There were a few more we looked at but I can't remember them all lol

I forgot to mention The Scottish Rite in Collingswood. The ballroom is very pretty, and they have this big beuaitufl tree that you could get married under!

We had our reception at the Castle in Delran and it was phenomenal! The rooms, the staff, the food-all are amazing!  You have to buy your own alcohol but it winds up saving you $ and they have great rates throughout the year.  If you are having under 200 people, it's def worth checking out!

We visited Brafford Estates, Paris Caterers, The Grand Versailles Ballroom (Part of the Quality Inn in Mapleshade), Aloft, The Marriot, The Westin, The Wyndham, and then finally The Mansion on Main Street. We loved by the West and Mansion, but ultimately ended up with The Mansion. I loved the ambiance and that since we are getting married on location, it wasn't in some dingy room. It is in a separate hall and feels much like a little chapel. We got a great price of $90 per person (INCLUDING tax and gratuity.) They customized a package for us.

    Good luck!

Delia-- We just booked our wedding at the Mansion for June 4, 2011. I couldn't agree with you more on the ceremony site - it wasn't some afterthought to the whole venue like it is in other places. We also looked at Aloft, but they seemed incredibly disorganized.

    Congratulations!

That was the last venue we visited and I wanted to look no further! I left wanting to book it right then! (We did a week later) Maybe we will see you at the taste testing in July.

Aloft seemed like a joke. We were in and out within 10 minutes. There was all kinds ofinformation missing from the packet we were given. I emailed the girl multiple times and she wasn't very thorough with her responses. And then I get a call a week later, from someone else, saying the girl was no longer with the company and they were trying to see where she had left off with us. I finally found out what their pricing was and my jaw nearly hit the floor. Not worth it in my opinion!

We are having ours at Aulettos which has an outdoor ceremony area and it has a very pretty outdoor area for pictures.  My first wedding was at Luciens and that place is absolutely amazing...beautiful room and so much great food!

My fiance and i are getting married at Tavistock country club in Haddonfield. It's a private club so you won't find it in bridal magazines, etc., but it's a wonderful place. The staff is friendly and the food is phenomenal. They're very easy to work with and have wonderful outdoor ceremony accommodations.
