feel like a jerk contacting people who haven't RSVP'd? Our RSVP date was the 1st and I started reaching out to people today. Some have given me a "I'd love to be there, but life is crazy" speech. You've known since STDs went out in February. I'd rather have someone just say they aren't coming as my feelings won't be hurt. I understand life is crazy sometimes. While some have confirmed or declined, I still have 31 people to hear back from....my brain hurts.

seriously..we do all the work, label the envelope, put a stamp on it, make the cards soo easy to fill out, why can't people just take the few seconds it takes to check their selection, write their name and put it in the mail box...sheesh

My deadline hasn't past yet, but my responses have been SO slow. My deadline is next Saturday and the responses are even slower than before. I'm pissed. I know I'm going to have to call a lot of people. After this, I have come to realize no matter how convenient and easy you make these damn things for people, people are just lazy and rude...UGH.

I've gotten to the point where I've reminded the people that I know are coming (family and WP) that the deadline is approaching and asking them why they haven't sent back their RSVP yet. I also told them that YES they still have to send in their card! Seriously, why would I send it to you and put a stamp on it if I didn't need you to send it back?!

FI's mom down right REFUSES to mail me back the card...*sigh* Half the list we're waiting on is his family. The other is friends whom I have already contacted and heard back from a majority of.

We're in the same boat. We are waiting until this weekend to start reaching out to people (we have a family birthday party so we should be able to catch some of the people who haven't responded), but it seems a little ridiculous that you do all the work for them and they don't respond. Our caterer told us that she's seeing this a growing trend in all of her parties. She said that one mom who was throwing a graduation party did not receive a single RSVP and had to call the 300 guests so she could give her numbers to the caterer. It's ridiculous!

my deadline isn't for another 20 days. I received some responses 2 days after I mailed them. More half are still missing....uhhh, all of my family's. lol. Only friends have sent them back. lol

I won't feel bad at all! I'm so annoyed that people can't put a damn pre-stamped pre-addressed postcard in the mail. All they have to do is check yes or no. I think they should feel bad for making you take time out of your day to babysit them. I understand people have other stuff going on but it seriously would take two seconds out of their day.

You can probably tell I'm stressing about this too lol. Our deadline is next Wednesday and we are still waiting on 50+ people!

My deadline was also this last Saturday, and you waited a lot longer than I did to contact. I mean I put 09/01/12 as a deadline for a reason. So I started bothering people on Sunday night by email and Facebook message.

I've gotten a few responses back but I am still waiting on about 30 people. A majority of them or my dad's side of the family. Its not that hard. I had stamped POSTCARD rsvp's. They didn't even have to bother with an envelope. All they had to do was write their name on it and check yes or no. If I don't get the rest of my responses by the end of this weekend, I'm gonna start making phone calls. I MUST have a final number by 9/11

Only a few have come back. My deadline is passed and everyone is traveling OOT to Niagara, but we've had to call people. I found out that there were a few that never got theirs....so I have called some and there are a few that are waiting to hear from work if they have the time off.
