Something Fun

Since a large portion of us got married, we haven't been on this board much, and I really miss chatting with you ladies!!

Sooo, I figured I'd post some questions to get us chatting! :)

The first in each question is for us married folks, and the second is for those who are on the way!

1) What was your favorite part of your wedding/What are you looking forward to the most?
2) Is there anything you wish you could do differently/Is there something you wish you could do that doesn't fit into your budget?
3) What is your favorite part of being married/What do you look forward to after the wedding?
4) Do you miss planning your wedding/Are you looking forward to being done with planning or do you think you'll miss it?
5) What is your favorite quality in your husband/fiancé?
6) What drives you a little bit crazy about your husband./fiancé?

    1) What was your favorite part of your wedding? Not sure I can pick just one thing - I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the day.
    2) Is there anything you wish you could do differently? Hire my photographer for longer - have formal "getting ready pictures".
    3) What is your favorite part of being married? Honestly, not much has changed since we lived together for a few years before getting married.  I love how my students (I had them last year too) use my name WAY more, and they correct each other when they use my maiden name.  I love hearing that every day!
    4) Do you miss planning your wedding? I don't miss it one bit.  I don't have a lot of free time in my schedule so it's nice to be able to focus on my real responsibilities and not worry about wedding stuff.
    5) What is your favorite quality in your husband? He's amazing with kids.
    6) What drives you a little bit crazy about your husband? He's a bit of a procrastinator.  We missed out on going to a concert tomorrow night because I thought he had already purchased tickets and he decided to wait until this week, and they were sold out.

    1) What was your favorite part of your wedding/What are you looking forward to the most?  Let's see...my favorite part of the wedding for me was definitely the ceremony, but that's because it's the most meaningful part of the day.  Seriously, I was in another world.  I enjoyed dinner too, and sitting back and watching everyone enjoy themselves.  That meant a lot to me.
    2) Is there anything you wish you could do differently/Is there something you wish you could do that doesn't fit into your budget?   Well the things I would have done differently were out of my control.  Essentially the weather sucked, which I had no control over, but the AC in the house we rented was broken (just got this confirmed today actually) and we MELTED.  It was gross.  I literally had sweat dripping down my temple during the ceremony and everyone was so uncomfortable.  And I had to change out of my dress early.  :(  boo.  I feel so badly for my guests.  They rallied and were great, but man it was like we were hanging out in a sauna.
    3) What is your favorite part of being married/What do you look forward to after the wedding?   Calling him my husband.  Smile
    4) Do you miss planning your wedding/Are you looking forward to being done with planning or do you think you'll miss it?  Not at all!  haha.  It was fun, and I loved the day, but it was a lot of work and stress and I'm glad it's over.  haha!
    5) What is your favorite quality in your husband/fiancé?  His kindess and generosity.
    6) What drives you a little bit crazy about your husband./fiancé?   He's a neatnick yet when he "picks up" he just puts things where they don't belong and I have to go fix them later and put them away the right away.  Bugs the crap out of me.  lol

    1) What are you looking forward to the most?

I'm really looking forward to having all the important people in our lives together in one place, supporting us and our decision to build our Life together.

2)Is there something you wish you could do that doesn't fit into your budget?

I Wish we could afford going on an actual honeymoon, but we willprobabaly go on a  minimoon- I will start looking for those 2 day getway specials on living social, they usually have one or 2 in the White Mountains in NH-  maybe for our 1 year anniversary we will go on an actual week long trip somewhere far far away!

    3) What do you look forward to after the wedding?

Having him as my Husband!   and starting to discuss starting a family at some point in the future

4)Are you looking forward to being
done with planning or do you think you'll miss it?

I Think a little bit of both, I enjoy having a project going on, and this of course is a BIG project- but I will be looking forward to the Financial stress being gone!

    5) What is your favorite quality in your husband/fiancé?

He is the type of person that would go to the moon and back for people he cares about.

    6) What drives you a little bit crazy about your husband./fiancé?

He ALWAYS has to be right,  and then if he realizes he isnt, he will try to confuse the conversation and make it look like he was saying something else all along.

I just have to laugh about it!Tongue out

    1) What was your favorite part of your wedding/What are you looking forward to the most?
My favorite part was having such a fun time with all our friends and family. They still talk about what a fun time it was. And since H is in the military, we don't get to see everyone very often so it was really nice.
    2) Is there anything you wish you could do differently/Is there something you wish you could do that doesn't fit into your budget?
The only thing I wish we had done differently was to get one more shot from the photographer. I had one picture in mind that I would have loved to get but forgot to tell our photographer. Other than that, everything went so well and I was really happy.
    3) What is your favorite part of being married/What do you look forward to after the wedding?
Being able to call him husband! Not much has really changed though since we lived together for almost 5 years before getting married.
    4) Do you miss planning your wedding/Are you looking forward to being done with planning or do you think you'll miss it?
I don't miss it at all. I'm loving having free time again (even though it's still not much time). I'm definitely glad it's over.
    5) What is your favorite quality in your husband/fiancé?
I love that he makes me laugh and it such a good friend. He really is my best friend. After 6 years together, I still love just being with him.
    6) What drives you a little bit crazy about your husband/fiancé?
He's a perfectionist. Which is great in a lot of incidences, but sometimes it means he spends way too much time on something. Meanwhile, I'm cruising through the rest of our to-do list. :)
