Going to Puerto Vallarta: What's the best things to do/places to eat?

After taking over a year to decide, we finally have booked our our honeymoon in Mexico. 4 days and nights in Puerto Vallarta and 4 in Yelapa in June. I know it's the off-season,but I'm hopeful there is still a lot of places open. We are staying at Quinta Maria Cortez in PV and Casa Viaje in Yelapa. I would love to hear about any visits you guys have made to this region and where the best food and authetic cultural experience is to be found. Best beaches too!

Thanks so much in advance!

Re: Going to Puerto Vallarta: What's the best things to do/places to eat?

  • Does anyone visit PV on here?
  • I personally have never been, but my parents have been to many places in Mexico and they say it is by far their favorite! They said that the town is filled with delicious restaurants so if you are doing AI, I would leave for one evening to try something new! They also did a ziplining tour through their resort which they said was amazing! Enjoy!
  • Thank you. We are not doing AI at all. Both places have kitchenettes because we like to purchse local food and cook ourselves a bit as well. When we do spend $ on going out to eat we'd love to try some well-reccomended places.
  • My FI and I stayed at one of the Dreams resorts there last year so I can't help with restaurants, but I second the zip line tour recommendation.  It was so much fun!  The one we went on had zip lining, tubing, and a donkey ride.  There is one that is only zip lining and there is another one that includes dune buggies.

    Have fun!
