We sent gift cards to our groomsmen to pay for their suit over 2 months ago. I am getting married in 9 days and one of our groomsmen has not purchased their suit yet and had it tailored. I ask fiance for an update daily.

I guess all I can do it take a deep breath. I am an organized easy going bride but this is starting to bug me.

    Men's wearhouse. There are 3 locations within 15 minutes of him.

    Well if he doesn't, then you'll just be one short of a groom.... He's old enough that he shouldn't need reminders. So I'd just let it go and if he doesn't get a suit then he's not in the wedding party.

    Well, I wouldn't be happy about it, either.  But beyond sitting on the man, there really isn't much you can do to MAKE him do it.

    Men's Warehouse usually has a pretty fast turnaround on tailoring (I think like 3-5 days) and he can always go to another tailor.  Honestly, he's a groomsman, so I'd let FI take care of it. If he cares about his side and this man being there, he'll have a Come to Jesus talk with him.

    Perhaps you should also send a gift card for a taxi to get his butt over there. I'm going to assume that he has no clue that he can't stroll in the morning of the wedding and grab a suit off the rack. How do you know that he hasn't gone in yet? Is he communicating with your FI?

    Yes, they have been communicating and he has said several times he would go and hasn't. Groomsman is a great guy which is why im shocked. He told fiance he is going tonight because fiance told him he was out of time. I guess I tried to make it easy as possible and we paid for it so I figured it couldn't get any more convienent. I am staying out of it but poor fiance has to hear me ask about it every other day.

    Hey, what is a wedding without a wee bit of drama. :)
