What Are You Thankful For?

This weekend our church members are doing service projects and my small group served a meal at a homeless shelter. It was very humbling and I am very thankful for my home and the job that allows me to pay for it.

I am thankful for my mom being able to skype with me while H is closing at work. I am thankful for my time at home and being able to keep the house clean. I am thankful for an awesome husband that's willing to take me shopping after being stuck at home all week.

i am thankful for jobs. hehe. i have to actively say this... because FI's job is VERY demanding! He worked 12 hours straight in the hot sun... laying asphalt. he is ALWAYS tired and his body hurts..... but i am thankful! the income is helping pay for the apartment and the rest of the wedding bills. PLUS it is what we prayed for.

i just feel bad he has to work soooo hard.

but i am thankful! (;

Today was a big day where I was just thankful for FI and how well he knows me. In the last few weeks with all this crazy stuff happening, I've realized how he knows what I need (or don't) and want (or don't). I feel so blessed to have him.

I'm thankful for my MIL. I had a really rough day, and DH had left for work (night shift), so it was nice to have someone to talk to.

I'm thankful also for for DH's aunt. She called me while I was typing that. She's so happy and caring that it's impossible not to feel good after talking with her. She and MIL (her sister) tell it like it is, which is SO good for me. Both of them told me I need to keep myself occupied w/a movie, book, or something with DH is gone. I know it sounds obvious, but I tend to sink into self-pity when DH has to work at night, so it's a good reminder.

I am thankful that we are right at 2 months down for my brothers deployment. So far it's been a quick, safe deployment and I hope it stays that way.

I am thankful for FI's job, and his willingness to work hard, and God's protection over him while he's working. FI was supposed to get off at 6:00 today, it's currently 10:19 and he's STILL on the clock. Not only that, at 7:45 they were gonna send someone home, so they called in FI and a guy who was supposed to get off at 8:00. They sent home the other guy and made FI stay! UGH! But I am thankful that FI is making pretty good money at this job, and that he even has one in this economy!

I'm thankful for my FI. He made me smile today. Of course, it was the first time in 3 weeks that I've seen him. i'm thankful for a safe car, and that I made it 6 hours back home safely with nothing eventful happening. I'm thankful for FI for giving me rent for my apartment this month - I don't have a job yet, so I'm slowly going more broke. I'm thankful for FMIL who gave me gas money to some see her son.

I'm thankful for my grandpa who gave me a bunch of vegetables out of his garden. I'm thankful for my land lord who installed a new air conditioner while I was gone - it's soooo cool in here now!! The air hardly worked before.

Most of all, I'm thankful for God contining to supply all my needs during this trying time that I'm going through.
