HELP!!!!!!! I lost my venue!

So I posted on here a month or so back about my worries with my venue. My fiance's aunt and uncle offered their ranch for the wedding, but it's been on the market for almost a year now, and they're pretty sure they're going to sell it before our wedding. Now, I'm scrambling trying to find a new venue that will fit in our budget. Anyone know of any free/budget outdoor venues?

The humming bird house is great.  Not to much and outdoors.  hummingbirdhouse.info

Marble Falls has a city owned place that is under $500, but has more rules.

Chapel Dulcinea is a free venue in the Dripping Springs area.  I think you have to put down a $100 deposit, but the deposit is returned to you after your wedding.  You should check it out.

If you want to hike to Geogetown - check out Heritage Oaks Clubhouse. My brides have posted about it. $100 per hour. Outside location for wedding, reception inside.

You might try Mercury Hall. They advertise "short notice" bride specials on their blog and have outdoor & indoor space. You could also check out the Austin Parks & Recreation spaces. They use a lottery system for dates 7 months in advance, but then they become first come, first served after that. You might also check out Memory Lane. Thalia is a real sweetheart and if you explain your situation, they might be willing to work with you on the rate. It never hurts to ask!

you might check with the city of austin facilities (mayfield park, zilker clubhouse). they go through a lottery, but if your wedding is within six months i think you can just call them and book if the spaces are open. they are really reasonable.

The Hostess House in Lampasas is REALLY cheap! That's where I'm getting married and my mom was like "that's the deposit, right?" "No, it's the fee."  It's owned by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas as a historical building, rather than a for-profit venue.  It's a little far from Austin, though, so what you end up paying in travel fees may outweigh the advantages of having a cheap venue. But worth looking into, esp. if you haven't signed contracts w/ Austin vendors yet and could use someone closer.

It's not an outside venue per se, but there's a large lawn out front and I've seen people have the ceremony on the lawn and then the reception inside (or I guess you could do it vice-versa?)

I guess by your post that your aunt & uncle aren't willing to delay closing?

Thanks everyone. I'll definitely look into those. :)

lleavell - No, unfortunately they aren't. Plus, I'm starting to wonder if my future SIL sprang it on them. They weren't very helpful with everything...

Hopefully I can find something soon!
