More divorce/engagement woes

Until I found this board I thought I was the only one... But I have now found myself engaged and in a divorce that is not yet finalized. Today I am both reviewing the separation agreement and ring shopping.  Guess there's not much more to elaborate on other than "UGH Can't I just Get On with Life!!???"

My MOH got remarried 2 weeks after her divorce was finalized, and they were engaged for a year and a half.

Things will happen, although not always within our expected time frame.  Hang in there.

I was the same way.  My ex-husband drug the divorce on and on and on!  Not because he wanted to get back together but because he didn't want the child support order to go thru.  Long story short, hang in there and just know that you are not alone!

I have divorce court on Wednesday. Hoping my ex-husband doesnt decide to drag it on and on. We have three children together and he has not paid me a dime since he left to help me out with them. He figures my mother and my FI can pay I guess.

I like to tell people that although I was legally married til 2010, I was really alone for the last five years of the marriage, living as a single mom under the same roof.  That seems to help people understand that I really didn't move too fast after my divorce.  I was only dating for six months before I met my fiance and we started a journey of friends first, then let everything build on that, instead of moving fast physically and not getting to know the person.

I was in a similar situation guess how much fun it was to meet my fiance's parents while I was still actually married to another man. Divorce was finalized December though so I promise it eventually ends and makes life less complicated :)

    To make matters worse...

My fiance is the assistant chief of a fire department, his dad is the chief, and my ex SIL is on the same department with them all. VERY awkward first few months of our dating then engagement. Needless to say exSIl isn't around much (volunteer department)
