DOC Help!

I know we are absolutely getting a DOC, but I have no idea how to go about picking one out.  I have yet to read a bad review about anyone!  I spoke with one out of DC last night who works with the band we are likely getting, and she sounds fabulous.  But, she needs to know in 10 days in order to hold our date.  We are meeting with Vaneisha Brown next month, unless of course I book the one I spoke with yesterday (Jessica Brown from Simply Chic Events).  Has anyone worked with either of these 2?  Can you give me some idea of what there services cost for DOC planning?  Also, did Vaneisha help organize lighting for your reception as well?  That's the one aspect we're having trouble with, and Jessica definitely had some great ideas and contacts when it came to lighting.

    Hi! I haven't officially booked Vaneisha Brown but I met with her a couple of weeks ago and she seems fantastic. I saw her portfolio and she has worked with lighting before. She is highly recommend on here. Read a few post below and you will see a review from someone who recently just used her services. My weeding is next July so I am in the beginning stages. We are hoping to book her soon. Good luck with your decision.

    Hey! I'm the one who posted the review. I can't comment on your other option, but I know that Vaneisha can handle more unusual requests. She's really creative and helped me come up with my own unusual centerpieces involving candles. I think she usually works with Perkins Productions (they had left up lighting at my venue that we used for free because she knew them!) but that's definitely something to ask. Pricing she should have gotten to you when you first contacted her I believe...very reasonable compared to some of the other people I talked to! (DC tends to be expensive).

    Vaneisha, hands down, made our wedding day run 100% smoothly!  I loved her professionalism, energy, and great ideas.  She can do anything!!!  Just letting you know.  :)

    If you are looking for another alternative, I used Heidi at Entertain Me Event Planning and she was awesome! I think her DOC services start at 850.  (She has info on her website www dot entertainme-de dot com about what is included).  She was very helpful to me, especially the last month of planning.  Even though I only had DOC, she was always responsive to e-mail/phone calls and made sure everything was in order with the vendors etc. GL!
