Two HUGE Checks (and some small ones)!

First, my dress is done and home!  I tried it on with my mom, sister/MOH, and good friend there.  I did it non-bustled and bustled, with the veil and no veil.  We did take pics, but they are on my mom's camera so as soon as I have them (hopefully tomorrow), I will post them!  I have been told that I am NOT allowed AT ALL to lose any more weight because my dress won't fit if I do!

Two, WE BOOKED A HONEYMOON!  FINALLY!  We are going to Disney World- so cliche, but we couldn't be more excited.  FI has never been, and he is like a 5 year old at this point!  We are going October 12-19...and will be down there for the Food and Wine Festival, which we are totally psyched for!  We have a wedding the week after ours (one of FI's good friends), so we decided to delay the honeymoon, recoup after the wedding, and go down after the friend's wedding with plenty of energy.

We also got all the ribbons tied on the bubbles, got all the jars that we had collected for the candy buffet out and decided which ones we are using and what candy is going in what container (HUGE accomplishment), and I got the FG pomander ball halfway done (it's a silk stephanotis ball, and I am replacing the pearl centers that came with it hotglued on with blue crystals to match my colors and give some color to the ball; I ran out of crystals and need to get more).

Overall, for a midweek day, we did awesome.  Tomorrow we meet with the organist at the church to finalize music, and I plan on taking better pictures of the church then too!

Any suggestions, besides Victoria and Alberts and the Luau, on where to eat?  How about what to do, besides couple massages?

Make sure you hit downtown disney. I love it there... and if you're a fan of goofing off in water parks, (I'm not sure how it will work with you after your surgery) typhoon lagoon is so much fun. (Don't leave when it rains! You'll be the only people there! It's very romantic on the lazy river knowing the two of you are almost the only people there...) As a matter of fact, don't leave any of the parks if it rains!

We went a few years ago, and it brought out the little kids in us. We did pictures with all of the characters for the hell of it, hit all of the parks except for the safari one, went on every ride possible... Take advantage of your trip!! :)

Congrats on all of the checks! Can't wait to see the final dress pictures!

Who did you end up going through for your honeymoon?

Gosh I haven't been to Disney since 2003... I went for spring break my freshman year of college, and it was great!!!  We pretty much went from our hotel to parks, so anywhere we ate was in the park.  The best dinner we had was in Epcot.  Epcot has two sections...the front is all science-y, and the back is different countries.  There's Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, America, and maybe Sweden?  It's been a while.  But we ate dinner in Italy... each country has one big restaurant, so we picked Italy.. and it was really good!!
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

We can't wait.  I have been twice before, but FI has never been.  We are going during the Food and Wine Festival in Epcot, which we are really excited about.  Staying in Prot Orleans French Quarter.  We plan on doing the Luau at the Polynesian, Victoria and Alberts (expensive but our really nice night out), and eating our way through Epcot lol.

We ended up booking through AAA, actually- I have the basic membership, and it saved us a bunch.  It ended up being 2850 for 8 days 7 nights (with extended stay on the last day) at the hotel, Park Hopper Tickets (no waterparks, we decided to nix them), the basic food plan (to help save out of pocket money), non stop tickets on Southwest, and Traveler's Insurance.

We called Charlie B Travel and Liberty Travel, and both wanted 3200 or more less- no traveler's insurance and the flights had stops.  In fact, FI priced it out on the disney website- and it was cheaper that way than with both those companies!  They said they could beat the online prices by $10 a person.  Are you kidding me?  When FI told Charlie B he was going to shop around and get a better price and probably book online, they told him, "fine, go book online."  Very RUDE!  I know two separate people who recommended us to Charlie B, but I will never recommend them to anyone.  Rude and expensive- especially when I know they make a decent commission from both Disney and the Airlines.

If you don't have AAA, and want to book a honeymoon, get the basic plan.  It's like $35 a month, and you save a ton by going with them.  And then you have the plan coverage for the rest of the year.  It's a win-win situation!
