wedding venue help tacoma area

hi
my fiance and I have planned a big fancy wedding in the louisiana next year, but that is being downgraded to just a reception. because of health reasons we are needing to get married sooner. we are looking for a venue that works for a really tiny wedding like 20 people. and is in tacoma or surrounding areas, our budget is as small as possible, and we are not looking for catering just location. thanks!

There are some waterfront restaurants that might work for a small wedding, like CI Shenanigans.  If its warm, the rose garden at point defiance is pretty for a ceremony only.  There's also a few places nearby (Gig Harbor, Fox Island,  etc), like Aloha Beachside B&B (http://alohabeachsidebb.com/), Chapel on Echo Bay (http://foxislandchapel.org/).

The Wright Park Conservatory is small and I think it's pretty cheap since it's a Tacoma park (not sure though).

Pioneer Park is in Steilacoom...pretty close to Tacoma, and it's right on the water. Absolutely beautiful for a ceremony! I think it is only $375 with a $250 deposit that you get back 10 days later.

I was going to suggest the conservatory in Wright Park, too! It's totally where I would do it if my group were small enough. Here's a link to all Metro Parks rentals: http://www.metroparkstacoma.org/page.php?id=118

Your group is really small enough to fit in the private rooms of a lot of restaurants. Not sure how fancy you're hoping for but: Masa, Maxwell's, and E9 I know all have rooms small enough.

And, depending on season, you can easily do a park. Don't stress! You've got lots of options!
