  My veil actually has crystals along the edges, and I LOVE it. It added a great touch to the whole look, particularly because there's some crystal detail on my dress.
  
  I'd go for it - it adds a little extra.

  I think this is a great idea. However...please be careful adding the Swarovski crystals to your veil. Do it very sparingly. The crystals are heavy and if there are too many, it will weigh the veil down. Trust me, I speak from experience.
  
  ETA...I am talking about Swarovski crystals in particular.
