OOT Gift Bags

Hi ya!

I'm starting to think about my OOT gift bags and I would really like some suggestions.

1)  Where did you get your actual bag from?  Was it personalized?

2)  What did you fill it with?

Thanks!

    1. We got reusable shopping bags from Chicobag.com during a sale.

No, they weren't personalized in any way. Do you mean with a nametag on each bag with each guest's name? (Because a lot of hotels won't give specific bags to people, they all have to be identical so that they can just hand one off as each guest checks in.)

Or do you mean with my and MH's name and wedding date? (I might've done a sticker or tag if we did a paper bag or gable box, but since we did a reusable bag I knew nobody would want to carry around a shopping bag with our names on it.)

    2. We went to BJ's and got some snacks. I can remember getting: water bottles (we did not personalize these), mini bottles of Gatorade, assorted box of candy bars, Cheezits, chips/pretzels, gum, Drake's coffee cakes, maybe a few more snacks, and we typed up a letter that welcomed them and listed some stores/restaurants near the area. We wanted to include sample-sized aspirin packs but couldn't find them. It cost us about $100 to make 20 bags.

    1)  We ordered cloth bags from cheaptotes.com.  We didn't put anything regarding our wedding on them, because we wanted people to reuse them (and nobody would want to use ones that had our names or wedding date or whatever on them).  We also didn't get them in our wedding color (pink) because we wanted men to be able to reuse them.  So they were cream.  We did put tags on them with the recipients' names, because we personalized the contents (each couple got a bag, and each single person got a bag (even if more than one single person was in a room).

    2)  They had a bottle of water, a granola bar, mini ritz crackers, mini cookies (chips ahoy or oreos), chocolates, brochures for local attractions, a packet of info from us with maps, local restaurants, and where to go if they forgot something (drugstores, grocery stores, etc.).  If a bag was shared among a couple/family, we put in multiples of the food and drinks.  We put mini Lego kits in with kids' bags.  We didn't go too crazy because most guests were only staying overnight, so they would have like 2 waking hours in their hotel rooms to eat their snacks.
