I don't think its any one thing that makes it offbeat, although I know a lot of the more religious family members have had a problem with my 50/50 black and white dress lol

</div><div>As far as my own wedding, well, I think the whole thing is pretty offbeat: graveyard wedding, purple dress, DH in an old school punk jacket/mohawk/doc martins/pinstripe pants, traditional irish loving cup ceremony, and DC honeymoon to follow, and we're "eloping' aka a us, officiant and photographer ceremony. </div>

I love the pinata idea!!! We were going to do a murder mystery during dinner, but I think that's pushing it as far as time goes for our reception. What we're going to try and do though is have a mash-up of scenes of people dancing from different movies during the reception portion. We also will probably randomly play some of our favorite old skool movie scenes at random times during the night.

Oh, and my pink dress is pretty off the wall, I guess! I don't know a lot of brides wearing pink, though I know there are brides wearing other colors.

And I just have to say, Bay21, I think it would be so AWESOME to go to a graveyard wedding! A good friend of ours had a zombie wedding. I couldn't go, but the pics are pretty amazing!

I think everyone thought the balloons for the bridesmaid's to carry were the most off the wall, everyone hated the idea until the day of the wedding, then they all thought I was a genius haha.

For my area our wedding was very offbeat, but the amount of compliments I still get made all of the planning so worth it.

Boy is wearing a suit, but all his groomsmen (and woman) are wearing a blue shirt, pink tie, and their clan tartan kilt. Reverse for the woman. Her tartan is mostly blue, so we didnt want her to be washed out.

We're getting married at a castle here in Michigan, so we thought it would be great to have them wear their actual clan colors.

I have to say, your wedding is one of my most fav EVER to creep hahaha I have looked at so many of your posts and been UBER jealous! lol
I am a music major, but that side of me doesn't really carry over to FI at all with the exception of wanting to include our fav bands... so we're having VSQ songs for prelude/postlude at the wedding and stuff like that, but not including music any other way really
