Wanted: Tropical July HM under 2k!

We will be going on our honeymood next July and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for tropical places that would be good to go to during July, hopefully for around $2000 for both of us!

Look into the Riviera Maya/Cancun Mexico or a cruise.

Cruises will include all your food and onboard activities (alcohol and land excursions are extra) and an All-Inclusive in Mexico will include everything (most activities, meals, and alcohol).

We went to the GR Solaris in Cancun a few years ago and paid $998 per person including flights and hotel for 5 nights. We loved it so much, friends of ours also went a year later and loved it as well. Great 4 star resort in the hotel zone which is close to nightlife and the beach is gorgeous with fun waves.

Agreed. You would be have the best chance of staying under that budget either in Mexico/Riviera Maya or Cancun region or on a cruise. Make sure you look up little added costs on cruises though. They have a fuel surcharge daily and tips and everything else that is not included in the original price.

price it out and then compare what's available with tripadvisor and info that you find on the different areas. then choose one

since you gave no info on what you want to do=beach, history, adventure etc... we could be here all day listing things LOL

Roatan, Honduras is great and United flies there via Houston. We went last year for a vacation and it was about 1000/pp.

I would recommend Isla Mujeres, Mexico, which is where we went this July! Mexico is going to be on the cheaper end with everything, and Isla Mujeres is far away from the Mexico party scene.

I was going to sugest Cuba, FI and I went for $950 for BOTH of us a few years back.....but we are also Canadian. Most Americans that go just sew a Canadian patch on something so no one knows where they are from and book flights through Canada.

Umm... they would get found out at customs when presenting their USA passport. Also, Canadian airlines (i.e. Air Canada) prohibit the booking of U.S. origin passengers to Cuba. Not worth the risk to save a few hundred bucks.
