Bridal shop recs

Hi ladies, I am in need of some bridal shop recommendations in the philly suburbs We live in lansdale but are willing to travel within reason for a good store. I have read a lot of reviews online and am really concerned with the alterations since I know I will need some I am looking for a place with mori lee or Maggie sotero dresses Thanks!

I'm in Trappe and tried a lot of local places. I'm not sure who carries what but I think Harleysville Bridal has Maggie Sotero. Also check with Country Bride and Gents in West Point - right near Lansdale. Agnes Edmunds in Pottstown doesn't look like much but they are so nice in there and have a ton of dresses. When I went with my best friend a few years ago, their alterations were free for the bride. They're also really, really nice in Belle of the Ball Bridal in Trooper. I didn't care for Bridaltown in Collegeville though. Good luck!

I went to Brides and Grooms in Newark, DE the first time I tried on dresses and they had some Maggie dresses, and possibly Mori Lee as well. I ended up buying from the Bridal and Tuxedo Shoppe, also in Newark because their customer service was better. It's kind of a hike, but I liked that DE was tax free.

I went to The Country Bride and Gent to buy my dress. It's in West Point, PA, right near down town North Wales. It is a small place, but they have tons of dresses, and none over $2000. My bridal consultant, Flossie, was great and found some great dresses for me to try on. I ended up buying the last one I tried on, that Flossie picked out. It was a great experience for me, you should go there!!

Thanks! I am definately going to Country Bride, my sister found her dress there and loved them but I have found I am picky and want to have at least a few places lined up to go to.

I got my dress at The Wedding Shoppe in Devon, PA and I do not reccommend them. Their customer service is horrible. You would expect for someone spending $8000 in their store they would pay a bit more attention.

Story time: They ordered me the wrong veil (it was the one ON MY HEAD during the appointment - how hard is it to write down the item number and order it?) and then they tried to blame me for it. They still refuse to acknowledge it was their mistake. They also are offering no accommodations and I will only get my veil about a week before the wedding. Hopefully it's right the second time around.

In any event, steer clear.

I ended up going to Bridals by Sandra in Nazareth (Lehigh Valley). They were a dream to deal with. They don't work on commission and so they were very laid back and tried to make you happy. It didn't matter how long I was there or how many I tried on, they were in no rush but wanted to take their time. I ended up ordering my dress (mori lee) and they own a sister store Sue Ames Bridal Outlet in Allentown -- They gave me the option of ordering my dress through Sue Ames Bridal Outlet which allowed me to save almost $200 off the price through Bridals by Sandra. Now, I am going through Sue Ames and the tailor next door for alterations. Very reasonable.
I ordered some of my bridesmaid dresses through Country Bride and Gent in West Point. I wasn't overly impressed with the customer service (I had an appointment). They just didn't seem to care about me since I was just there for bridesmaid dresses. I had one stepdaughter with me at the time and was bringing the other later in the week to be measured. When I was with the second one (now, I was behind schedule with ordering so I knew I had to pay for the rush order), I told them not to wait for the maid of honor (she was out of town) since we would take care of her separately since I just wanted to get the dresses ordered so we had time for alterations. My maid of honor returned a week later and ordered her dress from Bridals by Sandra (since she lives 10 minutes from there) and also paid for rush shipping. I called Country Bride to check on the order and was told it hadn't been ordered yet since they were waiting for the maid of honor. I told them I previously said to just get it ordered and they said they would order it. So, my maid of honor's dress arrived about 3 - 4 weeks ago so I called Country Bride to see if they could check on the status. They called back and said they were scheduled to ship the week of April 30th. I just received a card in the mail last night that they were in (why didn't they just call me when they knew I was in a hurry). I find it hard to believe that everything was ordered rush (and paid for rush) at Country Bride when the maid of honor dress came in so much quicker. I am very disatisfied and am going to find my own seamstress for girls.

I got my dress at Sadie's Bridal in Bensalem-Joanna helped me that day, they had gorgeous dresses and her service was wonderful. She made me feel so comfortable.

I was going to suggest Country Bride and Gent, but I see that you are already going there! I went to the Bensalem location and had a great experience. And my dress is Mori Lee

Couldn't believe the price, thought it would be expensive, but was around the same as the dresses I tried on at David's Bridal. And the quality blows anything at Davids away.

My dress is a Mori Lee. I got it at Stephanie's Bridal in Pennsburg (Montgomery County)

I got a sample dress and an AMAZING price! Small shop, but the people are very very nice and I am thrilled!

I bought my dress at Ashley's Bridal in Warminster. They have Maggie Sottero dresses (that was my designer!) I live right outside of Lansdale as well. Also, I went to Harleysville Bridal, they carry Maggie Sottero as well. Good luck!
