Paramedic wedding

My fiance and I are both paramedics, in fact we met each other at work. We are trying to think of ways to incorporate this theme that are no overly obvious. For example, a friend of mine recently had her whole wedding party wear converse sneakers. We are looking to do something unique, quirky and EMS related like that. Any ideas out there?

• check out http://amberandjeff.com/ourwedding/bio.html

they were both teachers.. maybe you can get some ideas from them. My Fi and I both work in law enforcement...I've decided to go against using it as a theme because it really doesn't go well with the romantic feeling I want it to have. lol no handcuffs and badges.
• Do you wear a certain color in your uniforms? You could use that in your color scheme. I definitely wouldn't do too terribly much with it, since it might send kind of a strange message to have, say, an ambulance cake topper. FI and I met working the Jungle Cruise, and we have a couple of Jungle-related art prints that people will be signing as our guest book, but that's the only element that relates back to how we met.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

• I am a wedding photographer, and My FI is also a paramedic, so I have been keeping an eye out for cute ideas to be able to incorporate it to our wedding. I recently photographed a wedding for a Groom who is in law enforcement, and they attached their place cards to little matchbox style police cars, then had a big one on their sweetheart table. It sounds a little cheesy but it actually looked really cute, and kept the kids busy while the parents partied! You couldld also do some formal pictures at your headquarters if the wedding is in close proximity to the station. Your photographer could get really creative with the "heart" theme being that you are both medics. Good luck!

• Anna -- Sorry but vendors are not allowed on these boards. You have been reported.
• My FSIL had department shirts made for their bridal party. They wore them when they entered the reception. (From photos - we were not invited for reasons I don't fully understand - it looked extremely white-trashy IMO)

I was proposed to with a pink fire department shirt that said "bride to be" - this I loved, but at a formal reception, I wouldn't try something like this - My FI will have photos done at the firehouse with his guys, etc.

GL finding something uniquely you. I like the matchbox escort card - I know I have seen several different styles of matchbox ambulance through the years. Its subtle without screaming "WE'RE PARAMEDICS!!!"
• MH is a paramedic we didn't really incorporate it into the theme of our wedding but we had the band play Wyclef's 911 during the reception.

If this is the song I'm thinking of, it is always played at our department functions and turns out to be a real blast
