Equal opportunity favors?

For my Victorian theme wedding I am going to give little fans with 19th century flirtation instructions attached. These will obviously go to the ladies. Do I need to also provide a favor for the men? I can think of some options but just want to know if it is mandatory. Thanks!

    Think about it.  You want to provide favors to some of your guests, but not all.  Doesn't that seem a little rude?  While, it's not mandatory that you provide favors at all, it would be inconsiderate not to.

    Well, yes you should have favors for the men as well.  I'd find it pretty odd and even rude to give only half of your guests a favor if you're giving them at all.

    Try to find one that is complimentary to the fans and flirtation instuctions.

    I'm not trying to be rude, I am just wondering how it is done since I have never been to a wedding where people got something besides candy.

    We're giving out favors that are for couples and/or families. So yes find something that you can give to the men that compliments the fans or find something that can go to the couple and don't do the fan at all
