Hi all-
I've curious to learn--from the folks who REALLY know, i.e. theknot community--what your good/bad/ANYthing experiences have been or are working inside the bridal gown industry.
I've been a bride and what seems like every other role out there that involves a visit to a bridal store over my lifetime, so no "stars in my eyes" here--plus, I've worked in customer service and public relations for more than 30 years, so my curiousity is genuine.
I'm really only interested in bridal gown shop info, and I've heard that this is THE place to start...any help?
Thanks!
K

[QUOTE]..Are you doing this for journalistic purposes?

Probably. I would hope not since I had to read the post about 5 times to get any sort of meaning out of it. I could just need a nap though. Is it asking if we WORK in the dress industry?
[QUOTE]I'm ONLY asking because its something I'd like to do for my next/second career! I'd read that this was a good, supportive environment to ask for honest help. The rude comments nap are unnecessary.

See the problem is we don't know you and you came here and posted something that suspiciously looking like soliciting information for an alternate purpose which is against TK's TOS.

What does this even mean? If you are trying to say that my comment that maybe I'm not comprehending what you are asking is because I'm tired is rude, you need a thicker skin. I was giving you the benetfit of the doubt that it was my reading fail. Clearly, it wasn't.
Nope, not at all. I felt all warm and fuzzy too the first time I asked a clarifying question and was randomly called rude.
[QUOTE]Is it wrong that I feel more like a reg and less like newb now that someone called my comment rude?

My first hater definitely made me feel like a reg!
Next up: random hateful PM!
Was simply asking what it is like to work at or own a bridal gown store.

OP, I don't think you are going to get the information you are looking for on here. I also don't agree that PP was rude by saying she was tired and maybe just needs a nap.
A suggestion also if you plan on sticking around, Be a little more clear as to what you are looking for. This is the internet and people cannot read minds.
